catching up *** Christmas 20120***

We started off with Abigail at school. Her grade got to put on a Christmas program and sing 4 songs. Her Music teacher Mrs. Lewis is so sweet and cute she had little hand and dance moves for every song. We were even lucky enough to get Papa there. He left work just to see his Abi.

Then the night before Christmas eve we went to St. Augustine with Nana and Grumps. We rode the trolley, enjoyed the lights in 3D, and even got to see santa. It was so fun!!!

We had our Christmas eve party at Nana and Grumps and got to have some great snuggles with Auntie "A".

Then we did Christmas with Nana and Grumps. Harris  and Abi got each family member a special gift personally picked out at the Santa's workshop at church. Harris was happy to give Grumps his gift of fondue forks. Abi picked out a glass candle holder for Nana. Then Nana and Grumps gave the kiddos their gifts which were all a HUGE hit!

We gave Grumps a apron for when he grills with Harris and Abi's hand prints all over it. It had the Words " Kiss the Grumps" on it. Abi came up with it. We gave Nana a book I made of our Vacation we took in October.

Christmas eve night we opened our Traditional PJ's, left santa a note, and we were sure not to forget the food for the reindeer. We had fun!!

My Christmas present was this baby!!! I love it!!!! I guess that is one thing I got out of the accident a new van!! YEAH!!

Then Santa came!!! The favorite gifts from mom and dad.... Harris his big Batman and Abi loved the Eiffel tower lamp.

My favorite gift was this from Abigail. My Mam-Maw had one just like it and I had told Abi. Abigail remembered and was so excited to give it to me. What a sweet little child I have!!

Then Aunt Debbie and Uncle Joe came over to our house and we ate some yummy food, sang Karaoke, danced, and relaxed.

Then on New Years Mam-Maw and papa were back from their visit during Christmas with Jen and her family and we got to do Christmas with them. Harris gave Papa his special Harley Davidson cards.

We had a wonderful Christmas. We had a lot to be thankful for and this Christmas we remembered just how lucky and loved we are.

Our Anniversary Trip

This year on October 30th we celebrated our 8th anniversary. Crazy! Abigail is 6 and Harris is 3 and all the crazy things in our life, especially recently has taken us on a wild ride. The best part of it all is that Aaron and I have created all of it. This life I have, I have it it with my best friend. Whether it is good or bad I have him. I love him so much some times it hurts, I still miss him everyday, and enjoy his company.  This year I really think Heavenly Father was preparing us for what happened a week later. Aaron won a 3 night hotel off of the radio and off we went to Charleston, South Carolina. I loved it! It was just us and we did all the things we love! Aaron chose to do a tour of some old ships, and submarines, and forts. I got to tour old houses. It was perfect!

This is where the movie "The Notebook" was filmed and where the girl from the movie lived with her family.

We walked around and enjoyed the weather, each other, and all the old churches.

On the tour of the battle ship this sign was on a wall. It looks highly in appropriate to me.
Aaron goofing off.  8 years and I am pretty sure he is funnier than ever!

Aaron was looking at the planes and I spotted these 2 little dolphins. So sweet!

This is the fort that the first shot of the civil war was fired. It was gorgeous!

When we got home we had gotten the kiddos ink and feather pens. Harris loved them, and Abigail put the feather in her hair! They crack me up.
8 Years and we have barely changed!! I love you babe! I am so thankful for you and the 8 years trails or not I am happy to be happy with you threw it all. You are amazing!

The accident

On November 7 most of you all know what happened, I have not wanted to blog about the accident, But every year I print out a blog book and I can not make a book with out 1.) telling what happened and 2.)  explaining my complete love for my Heavenly Father. So here we go.... On 11/7/12 I had miracles happen. The night before our TV went out. I woke up and felt just crummy all day. When it was time to pick up Abigail I went to take the TV box back at the UPS store, on the way home I had a seizure and went unconscious while driving the car. Abigail and Harris were in the back seat and I drove into a home.... There is when all the miracles begin. If I had not had to drop off the TV box I would have came home while children were walking home from school, if I gone anywhere else it could have been much worse, the man whose home I hit had just left the part  of the house where the car drove threw,  I was rushed to the hospital but was only banged and bruised, and last but most importantly my children were both ok. ALL HUGE BLESSINGS!

For the next few days following I was angry with Heavenly Father. I am going to be honest I was angry.  I try to do things just as Heavenly Father asks me. Why did my kids have to be in the car? Why did that have to happen? When will the trails my family face be enough?   I was so caught up in my frustration I did not see all the miracles. Then right before Thanksgiving Abigail"s Primary teacher came up to me and said in class they were talking about what they were grateful for. Abi's answer was that see was thankful for the men that took care of me, Harris, and Herself. When I heard that I melted.  For Thanksgiving as a family we made and decorated cookies for those firefighters and paramedics. I called ahead and made sure it was the exact men on duty. As we drove up I felt very thankful and a little sad that my sweet Abigail was the first to see the blessings in all this. I felt very thankful for her and for her sweet and kind spirit. The Fireman Justin in the pic was the one that drove with me and took great care of me in the ambulance. He was so sweet and kind to me. I only remember a little I was in and out of consciousness, but I remember him holding my hand and promising me my kiddos were safe. Words can never be put into words how much I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that because it could have been so much worse. I am even thankful for this experience.

On the day of the accident Aaron was on the phone and heard everything. In the moment he handled things in  a way that was only guided to him threw the spirit. He knew his dad was the closest to the and i would want them away from the accident as soon as possible, he knew I would have wanted to him to hug the kids before he came to me. He also felt  the spirit tell him exactly how to get home the quickest. I love him.  I will never forget seeing him at the hospital. The way just seeing him calmed me. I love how he held my hand and reassured me we could get threw this. No matter what happens we ARE going to get threw this as a family and with my friends.

I am so thankful for my friends, Laurel, Sarah, Mary, and Katheryn. I am thankful for my sister.  I can only express how much I love her. All day we were trying to get a hold of my mom and by the night time I told Aaron call Jen. Not even a minuet later mom was calling. Then they drove all the way from Louisiana and  she was here. Playing and loving the kiddos. Which is what I wanted and needed her to do. I see all my blessings and I am so thankful for them all.

Halloween fun 2012!!!

Like every year Aaron and I had our Halloween party. This year though it fell on a bad weekend and we had a small but super fun turn out. We missed our friends that could not make it but, we had a lot of fun and some super fun and interesting conversations.

This year I was Flo from the progressive commercials and Aaron was a used car salesman.
In honor of  our friends " The Thompsons" we played the game that makes everyone laugh.

Win, Lose, or draw  this is Barack Obama!
Look at the look on their faces.... pretty funny!

Then we were off to the trunk-or-treat. This year it was fantastic. My mom planned it and the young men and women did the games, decorations, and set up. Which was really nice! Normally primary is in charge of it and we never get to go do things with our own children. It was so fun! I for 1 am super thankful for all my moms work. It was also on a Saturday and at the Wheelers home so a Big thanks for them as well. My kids loved it!

Abi was Dorothy! The cutest Dorothy ever!
Harris was the bravest Batman ever!
Mam-Maw was the best face painter!

The only  thing I did not love the 4 fish that we won and are now ALL dead!!! We can not keep a fish a live for anything!
There was a haunted Forrest it had everything. A graveyard, mad scientist, butcher, crazy clown, a witch with poison apples, and a crazy lady.  It was fun!

Then we of course  carved a pumpkin. Harris thinks mustaches are super funny so of course our pumpkin had one.

Last we had our actual trick or treat night. It was hilarious Harris kept giggling because everyone was saying how cool he looked. This was the first year he really got into Halloween so it was super fun when he would run down the driveway to tell me all about it. Abi was super funny because every house she would talk Harris into knocking and getting the candy in case they were scarey so she could run away first if she needed to. She would tell him that every single house.

Then we came home early and passed out candy! I love Halloween! I love even more that this year my kiddos LOVED Halloween even more.
