Mommy and me!

I was cleaning my kitchen and saw one of my favorite things and thought I would share. March is Abigail's birthday and this year Aaron had recently started at CSX and could not get the time off work. So we went to our local pottery painting place and spent some mommy and daughter time together. We must have walked around and looked at all of our options a million times before she decided on a mermaid and I decided on a plate.

We also promised each other that no matter how old she gets we will always paint pottery together for her birthday. I can not wait to watch how every year her mermaids or what ever her love is at the moment get more grown up. One day I hope to have a whole self full of all the goodies we paint together. I can not wait!

My favorite part of the day was watching her in deep thoughtfulness as she contemplated which colors she wanted to use and her creativeness come to life. I was also really in awe of my sweet little girl when she told me at the end of our day together that she painted the little mermaid just for me. I have the sweetest little cuties ever. I am so thankful for them and their love!!

Kynleigh Mae is 1... Hurray!!

Saturday was Kynleighs 1st birthday party. We had a great time. My Camera was acting all crazy so I do not have pictures of all her cutness eating the cake or of her opening ALL those presents like a little champ. I can share how I love her and all the pictures Jen and Shawn had taken for her birthday.

The day Jennifer found out she was pregnant she and Shawn had decided that For Abigail's second birthday they were going to take her to the Circus for the first time. When she got to my house she handed me a card on the outside it said " to the best auntie in the world" I was so confused then I looked up at her and I got it SHE WAS PREGNANT! I was so excited for 2 years I watched in awwwe at my sister and the fun and unexplainable bond that she had with my daughter and all I could think of was that it was going to my turn to love Jens sweet little baby and start that loving bond. Then All along her pregnancy Jen would call and ask me questions and invite me to sonograms. I saw her for the first time and knew I loved her. Then Jen had her My heart melted I thought about all the love I had for my daughter then realized Jen was going to have that same bond with little Kynleigh Mae. Then I realized I was going to be a auntie. I was going to have slumber parties, Help pick out prom dresses and watch at every important moment In her life. I also realized how much I loved my sister all this time I was thankful for Auntie Jen Jen but I never realized how much she loved my daughter and now how much she loves my son. I am thankful for the way Kynleigh's sweet little spirit came into our family and melted all of our hearts. I can not wait to see her grow and become the girl I already know she is. I have loved the first year. I can not imagine what the second year holds and I can only dream about everything else. I love you Kynleigh Mae and I will always be there. Thanks Auntie Jen Jen for being such a great example to me. Oh and Shawn what would we do with out you!!! Happy Happy birthday we are glad that you are here little girl!

..... night shift can be fun!!!

So I recently decided I am going to celebrate Friday like I would if I was spending it with my Hubby. Since he works I decided who do I love that could bring some giggles and I thought of my niece and nephew. I invited and they came with bells on. We have had a blast! I was given rules and bed times that went right out the window when their mom and dad left. We played outside in the dark, ate pizza and candy.... oops! Then made a tent to sleep under and watch movies that maybe was past their bed time.... Sorry! I have sworn them to secrecy and we will never tell them all the rebel fun we had :)
Harris bounced in his bouncer while we played outside until it was dark and then a little longer. Sometimes it is just fun to break the roles!

Then we took our showers got my little cutie to sleep then we made our own tent that all 3 kids could fit under. It was a bit Challenging I am not going to lie, but a hour later I did a little proud/happy dance for a job well done.

Then we picked a movie got in the amazingly well crafted tent to watch the lovable family favorite "Toy Story"

I realized 2 things tonight I can challenge Aaron to a tent building contest and maybe even beat him. Then I learned Fridays can be fun even if Aaron can not be here. I love being a Auntie and I can not wait to get Kynleigh in the mix. Soon I could have 6 sleeping bags and 1 hugely magnificent tent!!! I can not wait!!!

Thompson time !!

OK so I've taken forever to post what a excellent time Our family had with the Thompson kids, but we had a great time! So much fun I got all wrapped up giggling with the girls and watching Kade Wrestle with Aaron I did not take nearly enough photos. Aaron and I learned some fun and family changing things... Like Heath and Kelly have a amazing family! I could not have even dreamed that 7 kids would have been so much fun. They love each other and when one of them needed something with out even asking they jumped in with love to help out their sibling.

I learned that the Thompsons are dancing machines. Abigail and I dance when we clean or when we need a good giggle but they do everything with a smile and a dance!
I learned that Maize is one big Hoot and a Half. That girl had me completely fulled. She seems so quiet and shy. Get that girl at home and she has a skit or a song for any event. It is adorable!

I learned that Mckinnely will be a excellent mother one day. She was so thoughtful and loving to be honest I thought more than once that I really did not need to be there because kinnely just knew everything that needed to be done and how to do it. I could not have made it with out her. I can not wait to see who she will marry years from now because he will have to be amazing to be with her!

Kade is a trooper! All those girls and he loved them all. He is there friend andtheir protector. I think he loves and enjoys that role. Millie would miss mommy a little more than normal and Kade would sweep in and have her giggling in no time.

Millie ,oh Millie! If there was ever a child that knows exactly what she wants in life Millie is that girl. It was so adorable. She was excellent! I loved to watch her with a job. I would ask her to do something one way and she would always do it. The impressive part was that she may not have done it my way, she would do it her way and EVERY SINGLE time it turned out better. I think she is smarter than I am. She loves to giggle, dancing makes her smile and being with her family is the best place in the world to her.

Maddy is more quiet and silly. She is a excellent story teller. When she would get home from school I would ask her about her day and she would explain it to me in such detail I felt like I was there. She should be a Author when she grows up. Like the others she loves her siblings, is always polite and was my reminder to pray every morning before they went to school. Thanks for all you did " Rad mad"

I had a great time! I learned that Kelly is amazing and I hope my children love me like her children love her. I learned to say thank you a little bit more to Aaron he is a excellent father and friend. Watching him play and giggle gave me a fun glimpse into my future and I can not wait! I learned that family pray in the morning is a great way to start your day. We always say family pray at night but family pray in addition is a way to have a great day. I had a great time baking cookies and decorating all 100 of them :). I love a slip in slide. Cleaning while dancing is great when there is a troop of people to dance with. Hide n go seek is better in the dark and Believe it or not I love Hannah Montana!! Thanks Kelly and Heath! You have a terrific group of kids and every single moment was delightful. If you ever need another babysitter we are here for you. Thank you for EVERYTHING!!! We love you all!

I think I need to mention that we got a slip in slide and Little "Millie Moo" gave kade a run for his money and showed him girls were excellent slip n sliders. Thanks kids!! We had a blast!

A date with Daddy!

Tonight we were missing Daddy just a little more than normal so we decided to spice things up and surprise daddy! It was so much fun for the kids. They first got to see all the huge buildings down town which Abigail was so excited about. Then when we got there with our dinner and smiles. We were helped into the building by a sweet old security guard. Thanks to him! We ran and covered daddy in kisses and hugs then ate some yummy burgers, had a great tour of Aaron's work. The kids loved it. Even Harris was so happy all the colors and noises were heaven to him.

All of us were excited to get to have a whole hour alone with daddy and were full with smiles!!! Can you tell?

This is Harris's cute little face when he realized we were here to see daddy! He could not wait to get out of the stroller and get his hands on him. We had a great visit. We all got lots of kisses and hugs and got to see just how hard daddy works to give us a happy and peaceful home! Thanks for all you do, babe!

Guess what I did.....

Oh don't you hate it when a certain something gives you a piece of advice and you do not listen. Only for it to come back and bite you in the bottom. So...... on Sunday I went to go get a Ziploc bag out of the pantry and there was a can in the way. I stood there and thought you should move that but I did not and that darn can fell on my toe and broke it. At least my feet were cute for the doctor, right?

THE MERMAID!!!!

I was looking threw my photos from Disney and I saw this photo and I giggled. The first time we went to Disney our Hotel was right next to this gift shop with this giant mermaid and Abigail loved it. So much she talked about it for weeks afterward. Well one day Nanna (Vickie) called and said "where is this mermaid that Abigail keeps telling me about? "Abigail had sent her on this wild goose chase and had told her " Nanna just go down Blanding Blvd." Nanna being the great Nanna that she is went down Blanding and then was just as disappointed when I had to tell her over the phone that Abi's mermaid was in Orlando. I thought it was cute. So I took a picture just for you Nanna.

who loves mornings?

ItalicI am a morning person I love the mornings. I love the idea of a new day and waking up to my family that I love. This morning we had powdered donuts. My sister bought some for Abi. Thanks Jen! So this morning we decided to make breakfast worth smiling about. Harris and Abigail were big fans of the sweet goodness. Harris in fact pulled himself up and stole one of Abigail's off of the coffee table then with it in his mouth crawled to the other side of the living room and ate his sweet sweet goodness. 5 things I love about breakfast:

1.) I wake up to Harris talking in his crib over the baby monitor.
2.) Abigail always sings me our good morning song.

3.) My kids always smile when they see me

4.) I get to spend cuddle time with the hubby before my day even begins.

5.) I get another day to dance sing and play with the 3 people I love the most.

Bippity Boppity "Boo"

At the end of the day Abigail was so exhausted and cuddled right on up with Papa and fell asleep on the train ride back to where our cars were all parked. I know this photo is out of order but I felt that it shows just how much fun we had. Thanks for being such a great Papa!!!
So before we went to Disney my Aunt Suzi got word of something extra special that they do now in Cinderella's castle called the " Bippity Boppity Boo Boutique". They have all different packages and she decided she was going to treat Abigail and her granddaughter Payton to the top of the line experience. It was a moment in Abigail's life I will never forget. I thought about every moment I have spent and every moment to come in my relationship with my daughter and many times I was a little teary at how blessed I felt to have Abigail's sweet spirit and tender personality in my life. My family was there and all took turns coming in to watch the girls on this special day.

Here is Uncle Kenny who is my dads brother and Aunt Suzi's hubby. He was so cute when he got to see the girls all dressed up and even he himself said it was worth every penny he spent and every second in took. Thank You both for doing this. She will never forget it!!!

The proud grandma ( who just found out she was a grandma) said she had years to make up for and I am not sure who had more fun the grown women or the girls. Thanks Aunt Suzi!!!

Here is the 3 of us. Harris fell asleep about 10 minuets before they finished so he was dreaming in his stroller.

When you first walk into the boutique there is a whole wall of shoes, dresses, tiaras, wands and everything else a princess needs. It was so fun watching the 2 of them going back and forth between the princess that they wanted to be. Abigail ended up choosing Cinderella and Payton choose Sleeping Beauty.

Once the girls picked there dresses we waited for a dressing room then our 'fairy godmothers in training" came back and got the girls to reveal there outfit. Then the girls got dressed and were ready for their hair, makeup, and nails.

Here is Abigail before.

During the hair part of it they gave Abigail a clear shield to cover her face when her " godmother in training" Sprayed the hairspray. Boo thought that is was hilarious.
Boo loves makeup and I thought her little lips all puckered up was darling. I love my beautiful girl!!!

This is Boo all done up but before she had seen herself and she was sooooo excited and thrilled to see herself.
Then for the big reveal all she could do was look/stare at herself. Boo was so surprised she did not even smile she just stared. It was so cute I looked over at Aaron and he was even a little teary eyed at how cute and pretty our little girl had gotten. She went from being our first little baby to this pretty, loving, and grown up little girl.
If that was not funny enough she finished just a little bit earlier than Payton did and when she watched Payton get all finished up she was once again speechless. Look at the expression on her face.
Auntie Jen Jen was just as excited as I was. She could not wait to see our little princess all glammed up and ready to go.
Then after the makeover was complete they did their own little photo shoot and walked around Disney the rest of the day as the Pretty Pretty princess's they were. Harris was so tired by the end of the night. He passed out and was so cute and handsome in his stroller. I think the day was a success.

...... Almost the best part!

Yep we did it again. Isn't this photo crazy. Look at all those people. We went to Disney again as one big family and it was great. I loved watching Abigail and Harris enjoy the day and their little faces light up when they had something or some character catch their eye. We had a great time. We even somehow managed to get Papa and Uncle Joe to go again HAPPILY. They were troopers. Thanks guys you made the trip complete. I love you all and thanks for being in mine and my kids life.

Here's Kynleigh with Belle I decided she is going to look like belle. Have I mentioned that I love being a Aunt?

Abigail did not get to see Snow white last time so Aaron, Papa, Mam-Maw, Jen-Jen, Shawn, and I all made it our mission to get her to Snow White. It was worth it. Look how in Love even Harris was. He loves the Dark headed ladies.

I love this pic of Boo. Her checks were so red. Oh my Heavens it was so HOT!!! But at the end of the day it was worth it. We were given a great day with most of the people that we love most in this world. What else could you ask for?

Harris was yet again the hit with the ladies. What a cutie?

We did not get to see Mickey and Minnie last time either so this time they were at the top of my list. Harris loved Minnie so much he was ready to eat her up and take her home.

Abigail could not decided which one to hug first.

Here is most of the ladies at the beginning of the day. We look lovely!!! Next post will be the "bippity boppity boo boutique". Oh it will be worth the wait if you love princesses and you love Boo you are going to be thrilled.
