She's a Graden

The other night I woke up to a light on and the noise of a drink being fixed. So I got out of bed and to my surprise found Abigail pouring herself a cup of Coke. She's a sneak! When I caught her I said " Abigail what are you doing?" She said simply " Mom if I asked you, you would have gotten me water so I was sneaking the good stuff" Oh the things kids learn when you think they are not paying attention.

Talks are great!

Most Sundays I end up outside chasing my busy- busy little man. I can not even remember the last time like most of my mom friends that I actually got to listen to a whole sacrament meeting. I am happy if I even catch a half of it. Every Saturday I plan ahead, get him busy, bring snacks, toys what ever I think of but it never works. Today I thought I actually got to listen to a Brother in our ward speak. It was on Christ and it was amazing. Harris has had a ear ache and been fussy so today I decided I would rock him in the mothers room and listen..... feel the spirit and listen. It worked! It was a great talk! I love being reminded that not only Christ but of the sacrifice of my Heavenly Fathers part for me. Nothing makes me want to work hard and be better than remembering the blessings I have been given. I love this time of year. I was all alone in the room holding my sweet sleeping son and got a little teary at how incredibly blessed and loved I am. I am so thankful for my life, and most importantly for the church and all the countless blessings and love I have the privilege of receiving. What a great way to head into Easter!

A sad day in Jammes home

Since the movie "The Princess and the frog" Abi had been obsessed with frogs. IT TOTALLY GROSSES ME OUT! For those of you who may not know I am kinda a germ phobic. However I decided that I was going to let her be a kid and I would just follow her around with disinfectant. The other day Abi found her a frog and when it was time to go inside, she decided that she would put him in her play house mail slot. When she woke up she woke up begging to go play with him. To our surprise when we went outside we found a sad sad thing.
He went "belly up" literally. She was devastated. We decided to have a proper burial ( Aaron threw him in the ditch when she was not looking) and then Abi said we needed flowers so she added some. Oh, lives lessons are sometimes tough. Do not be to sad she found another frog and he has never been discussed again.

Family time!

Sunday was Abigail's actual birthday so she got to be the decision maker for the day. I am such a ding ding and twisted my ankle on Saturday so we skipped church and amazingly all slept in until 10:00 in the morning. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Then Aaron made his special eggs. He puts coloring in them.... shockingly they were pink. Then we played some Yahtzee, watched some Max and Ruby, then all loaded up into the car and went for a drive. We drove and found this pier and stopped to walk down it. I love simple moments like this. I have so much to be thankful for. Happy Birthday Abigail! You are one heck of a decision maker. You chose a perfect day! I love you, your sweet smile, your loving heart and all your kind actions. Thanks for being my girl!

Meet Max!

Here he is... Mr. Max ( like the show Ruby and Max). We went today and got him. Abi's first kitten. It was adorable. Aaron or myself was not completely sold on the idea. In fact to be honest I would have been 100% fine with never owning another animal. Abi wore us down then Mam-Maw joined in and before we knew it we were committed. I still am not entirely sure how it happened but it did. I have to say Abigail's reaction was and will be worth every second of having a kitten. There are those moments in life that I will never forget this was by a land slide one of them.
Her face was the best. For a good 5 minuets she giggled and laughed. IT WAS PERFECT!

Harris loved it as well. He walked by all of the cages and shock them all. Growling and giggling at each one.

We played with all the kittens. We went in looking for a girl Abigail was going to name Olivia and came out with Max. We let the kids play like they would normally and decided Max was the best fit for our family.

Signed all the papers, placed Max in his carrier, and were on our way home. Abigail consoled the little kitten all the way home. " oh kitty kitty do not cry I will take you home and love you" and " you can sleep with me don't be sad you will never see your sister again" ( he was in a cage with his sister who cried and cried when we took him). I am still being talked into the cat thing but I must say. He is really cute and fun! Thanks Mam-Maw and Papa from Abi she is in HEAVEN!

Abi's 4th birthday party

I can not believe my little Abigail is 4 years old. I love being her mommy. On a daily basis she makes Aaron and I laugh. I remember being a new mommy and holding her in my arms wondering who and what she would be like. Now I she who she is so clear. Feisty, Beautiful, and loving those are the 3 words I would describe her as. For her birthday we did a Princess and Pirate theme. All the kids dressed up if they wanted and we had a great time. Abi was the Princess Tiana from "The Princess and the frog" movie.

We did the party at the playground in fox Meadow's. My friend Lisa and I even got in on the action and our men spun us until we could not walk straight. I felt my age.

I love my family!

The girls were so cute!

Papa pushed Abigail High, High, High. She loved it!

The kids played

Then we did the Princess and the frog cake. Abigail loved all the people looking at her. She sat there all pretty and enjoyed every moment.

Then we opened presents. Abigail opened Mam-Maw and Papa's gift last:
1.) Litter box scooper 2.) cat littler 3.) cat Food 4.) Litter box
She was so funny. She smiled and was so sweet but was puzzled then when we told her that her gift was her own Kitten she was adorable. She got a little teary, then went bashful and last was shock.

Then we did a scavenger hunt. The princess's and the Pirates found the treasure at the same time. I was impressed with how smart they all were.

The we did the worlds toughest pinata. Finally I just ripped it open and the kids had a free for all. It was fun!
Abi's favorite moments:
1. That Papa swung her High High High
2. Opening presents
3. That she got to see cousin Kynleigh and Lauren
4. That she got to see Nana and Mam-Maw
5.That she got to see Papa
To everyone that came. I love you all! Thank you for all the gifts and love. Thanks for taking time out of your day to spend it with our little family. Also sorry about the wind and the craziness that came with it. At least it was adventurous. Love you all! Happy 4th birthday Boo!

Guilty

I went on strike and this is what I ended up with. Crazy right? I went on "life" strike for a week and all this laundry accumulated. How is that possible? I went on strike because I felt like all I was doing was cleaning and running errands so I decided for a week I was going to play and not be so busy with every day life. Aaron has picked up loads of over time but I have been holding down the family. We had fun, we did crafts, and laughed, we went Birthday shopping, we played outside on our new swing set, we to Gold head national park and enjoyed nature. It was PERFECT!
Even with all this CRAZY laundry it was worth it. I love my kids! I love my hubby and all the hard work he does for our family. My perfect week was worth a messy house and 20,000 loads of laundry.

Plus.... look at how much fun they are having. So cute!

I am Thankful for my friends

One of my Best friends Nancy came into town with her new beautiful daughter Hazel this weekend. I was so excited to meet her little one. Since we were really young we always dreamed of our Hubby's being best friends, living next door to each other and getting one of our children to make us officially family. I just wanted to say to all my Friends which is all of you.... Thanks for all you do! I am so blessed to have some great ladies who I depend on for laughter, advice, or just a good time. I LOVE YOU ALL! Thanks for all you do and the hopes and dreams we have and will share.

kids are so creative!

The other night I was getting the kids ready for bed. Harris found a clear plastic purse that Abigail's little princess dollies come in. He was giggling so hard before we knew it all 3 of us (Aaron was at work) were all belly laughing. He would breath really hard and fog it up and then press it to his face and smash it against the plastic. I did what any mom would do and started right in on the tickling which made the night was complete. Everyone was tickled, kissed, and sent off to bed. It was fun!

4 is the MAGIC number

I was tagged the other day by a friend and fellow blogger so I gave it a day to think about my answers so here we go:

4 shows I love to watch:

1- Dancing with the stars
2- The office
3- Accidentally on purpose
4- Greys anatomy

4 things I am passionate about:

1- My family, I love being a mommy and wife.
2- Flowers real or fake. I love the colors, the smells and when I see flowers my mind gets creative with all the things I can do with them.
3- Laughing. Every good moment in my life is filled with laughter.
4- keeping journals. I love to blog and scrapbook but i have kept a personal journal everyday for most of my adult life. 4 phrases I say a lot:

1- I love you! I think I drive Abigail and Harris crazy.
2- No-No Harris! He is a busy bee.
3- Oh my lands! Once again Harris is a busy bee and I will leave a room only to return to find him standing on top of the table or dragging toilet paper from the bathroom to the living room.
4- Do you have your Grumpy pants or Happy pants on? My kids are part Graden and part Jammes enough said.

4 things I learned from the past:
