MY Mam-Maws house

j
As you all know I am really a lucky lady. I have a amazing life with amazing people in it. MY Mam-Maw was to me one of the most amazing women ever.  She was fun and loving and she always smelled delightful. When I think of her I get happy. When I was little we moved to Florida for dads work but I was born in Virginia and that is were my moms family all is. So, for the summer we would get to go up to Virginia and stay with our family. I ALWAYS stayed at mam-maw's. It is my happy place. So when we went to Virginia last week I wanted to go to her old house and get a picture of my children on her front porch.  Everyone agreed we drove there and I got out, knocked on the front door..... crying. I pretty much begged her to take a picture and ended up that she was friends with my Mam-Maw and Papa. She shared some fun things with us and it was amazing!

It changed it used to be red with white trim.
My and Aunt Kathy and mom  were so cute. I watched them as the checked it out and I could tell all the memories that were coming. We all cried and Laughed. It was really a great day! I think Mam-Maw would have loved us being there and remembering the good things in life!

Harris was most in love with the big swing and played and giggled while we all were emotional wrecks! He was a typical boy!
The house....  when we would come up to visit I always remember her waiting inside in front of the big window. I can still see her there in my head.

Across the street was a jiffy store called " the little giant" and I would do chores and at the end of the week get money and walk across the street to get candy.
I know this ditch seems like a odd thing to show but my favorite part of the walk was the ditch. Mam-Maw always made things up so that we could jump over it. I could have been a alligator or a Pirate. It was neat to watch my mom jump over that ditch as a mam-maw to my children.

It was a great day! After the emotional day we all came home to Aunt Kathy's and Abigail said she wanted to play "Mother May I?" Everyone volunteered and played.  I was the mother  and by the end Leigh had done beautiful ballet leaps, mom had done some giddy upped  like a horse, Jennifer had waddled like a penguin, and Aunt Kathy had twirled like a princess. It was soooo funny. The best part is I think Abi will always remember this trip and hopefully love Virginia like I do.

I am thankful for..................

 My HUBBY......

I am thankful for Aaron who brings me such love a happiness. I have so much to be thankful to him for. He works hard, sacrifices, and loves us unconditionally. He is my rock the one I depend on the most in this world. I am thankful he is so sexy and makes me giggle like I am a giddy teenager. I am thankful for every moment with him. I am thankful he is a unbelievable father. We are lucky!

 Temples.......

The reason is simple. The people I love most in this world get to be with me forever  if I live a worthy life. How lucky am I to be able to take advantage of a temple whenever I want?
Even more I am lucky to be married in the temple and know and FEEL daily the blessings that come from it.
 FALL....

I love fall. To me it means happiness. I love the colors and the simplicity of looking at something so amazing and knowing that My heavenly Father is amazing. That every gorgeous thing in this world also serves a purpose. I love the colors and the brightness of fall. It is just BEAUTIFUL!

DANCING.......
I love pumping up the music and dancing with my little ones. I love to watch as they smile and laugh at something so simple. I also love dancing because to me letting loose and dancing my bum off is the one thing that relieves stress and makes me smile.

My feet up with painted toes.....

Seems so silly but I love to have my toes painted and relaxing. If Aaron is next to me it is as close to perfect as it gets in my opinion.

 FRIENDS....

I am lucky to have some unbelievable friends. They are great to me and there whenever I need them. Friends who are there to celebrate and enjoy the moments in my life that I hold dear and I am blessed to share those same experiences in their lives.

Pajamas.......

I love Pajamas. I think if I was allowed I would live in them. I love mornings that are long where we get the play and cuddle in our pajamas before our day gets started.

My Talents......

I am so thankful for my talents. I am lucky to have a lot that I love and hold close to my heart. I love looking at a brides face as I show her all the beautiful things I made just for her. I am thankful to have talents that encourage me to be appreciative and give me encourage my self worth not only as a wife and mother but as a woman and daughter of God.

  MY FAMILY.....

Of course these things are not in order because I am most thankful for them. From being a wife and mother I am lucky enough to finally really understand what it means to love. Sometimes it is a close to perfect day where I love every second and sometimes it is a day where I am thankful to have a bed at the end of the day to literally fall into. Either way though my last thought is always about my family. I am most thankful for them!

 HARRIS......

Harris makes me smile constantly. The poor kid spends have his day in time out because when he sets his mind to something nothing will stop the kid from doing it. I mean nothing! I am thankful also for a wall to have time out at.

ABIGAIL.....
Abi is my BEST friend and my BEST helper. She is a whistle while you work little girl. She is always happy and LOVES her brother and family unconditional. She loves to learn and LOVES to cuddle.

 A CLEAN HOUSE.......

I love the feeling of working all day and then finally sitting down to  realize I love my home. I love the wild colors, the old furniture, and the photos that make it feel like home. I love to know it is ours and that my husband works hard for us to have a home we love.

I just wanted to be sure to be thankful this week and share with everyone I love the things I am most thankful for. I hope you all have a Happy and fun holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Jammes family!

Mom and Harris at the cemetery where Aunt Sissie is buried. I love the trees.

My little girl all cute! I smile sometimes because My aunt and mam-maw would have LOVED her.

Last week we went on a girl trip to my favorite state..... Virginia. It is where I was born and every single memory I have there is a great one.  My mom, sister, and I with all our little ones had a amazing time. My Aunt Sissie passed away right before I  found out I was pregnant with Abigail. When I found out I was having a girl it was easy to decide to name her after my amazing aunt. Plus I was also named after her My middle name is Gail She was a amazing woman.  Always took care of everyone else. While we visited we had the time to go threw some of her things and divide them up. It was  odd and very therapeutic ! I have never laughed so hard or cried so much. It was a trip full of celebrating the passed and the present. My favorite day we went to the cemetery's where Aunt Sissie, mam-Maw, Papa, grandma Hazel and her husband were all  buried.  Plus went to my mam- Maws old home. I will share those pics later. It was emotional. Even though I have a testimony of the gospel to be in Virginia with out them is still weird and sad. On the drive home we had the most beautiful drive. The leafs and the trees are absolutely breathtaking. I felt it was a little reminder to celebrate life and enjoy every day because looking at how amazing nature is you can not help but feel that heavenly Father made all these gorgeous things. We came home after a emotional day and everyone gathered in the backyard and we all played "mother may I". We laughed and  twirled liked princess, jumped like frogs and spun like tornadoes.  It was a perfect day!

Baby Mullet Gone

h

I finally decided to get my BABY his first hair cut. Aaron and I have joked that he was getting a pretty cute little mullet growing but I loved his curls to much.  Last week however we went to go visit my family in Virginia  and I wanted him to be looking his cutest for  his Virginia family.  Which after the haircut he has never looked so dang cute. He did great during it and actually by the end of the haircut was flirting his little cute self off with the hair stylist. When he was all done he checked him self out in the mirror and all by himself stuck his little hand up for a high five. I can not believe he is getting so big and everyday he starts to look less like my baby and more like my little man.  The good news is he is adorable either way!

6 years!

Aaron and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on October 30th. With all the craziness of that week I did not post our fun date but I wanted to make sure to share. Aaron decided he was going to plan everything since have been a little crazy for me. He planned a great day in St. Simmons Island in Georgia.  He really planned everything from the food to the babysitter. I was highly impressed!
We ate at this restaurant named Barbra Jeans. Oh it was yummy! I had  shrimp and crap cakes. Aaron had gumbo with red beans and rice. We were both stuffed.
Then we went to all the little shops and got to walk hand in hand loving the cool weather and a kid-less day.
Then we went to this old colonial historical site. It was so neat! Below is the foundation for a old colonial home. It was tiny I mean tiny. I often wish my home was bigger but seeing that families of 10 could live in those tiny little spaces was wild for me.

This is part of fort for the little colony it as well was tiny. They said sometimes 30 men would sit inside.

Then we left and went to the oldest church in Georgia. It was beautiful!
I love brick walk ways. I think they are so gorgeous!
Then when we were leaving the church Aaron heard a band practicing so we went on a walk to find them and literally stumbled across some graves with the name "DISMUKE" which is my moms maiden name.  I was excited to get home and talk to my mom and find out if they were maybe family. Mom didn't know but knew that there was a lot of Dismukes that came south. I thought it was neat maybe my Mam-Maw's way of reminding me to do more family history. It was a great day and a even better 6 years. I look forward to a 100 more. I am a lucky girl to still have my heart go pitter patter every time he kisses me and even more lucky that I get to spend eternity with him! I love you Jammes!

These days the weather has been AMAZING! We spend so much time playing and enjoying one another outside. Sidewalk chalk has always been one of my favorite things and now Abi has joined in. Abi loves to color and make pretty things.  The other day we made our patio pretty and then it rained and Abi woke and and was so sad that all our pretty work was all gone. I thought about it all day and then I decided that sidewalk chalk was a great way to teach Abi about the atonement. It was a wonderful moment to watch her little face as she began to understand just how lucky we are. How wonderful my life really is.  Who would have thought that sidewalk chalk would give me a amazing moment like that with my daughter.

Halloween fun at school!

One of the best parts of being a preschooler is that Abi now gets to do fun things like school parties. We looked forward to the school party all last week. Finally the day came and we got all dressed up and we off for a fun day. Abi's teacher Mrs. Staab is amazing! In class Abi got to make her own little trick or treat bag, painted a pumpkin and learned all about stranger danger. Mrs. Staab really loves all her kids and we are lucky to have her. Another wonderful thing  is that Abi has some really great friends like Mandy and Luke that also go to church with us. I love it because when she gets home she tells me ever detail.  I signed up to pass out candy so my friend Katheryn took these great pictures for me, her friendship is another great blessing of Abi being in school. I have gotten to make some really great friendships as well. Halloween was great this year because we had a a great time with our school friends, our church friends, and a wonderful family day! I love this time of year!
