Christmas

We started off the morning with total happiness. Abi loved her Barbies and Harris jumped right in his jeep.  Santa did a good job. Then we unwrapped presents. The winners:

*Harris- His little lap top it now goes to bed every night with it
*Abi- Her walking dog. She named him Marley
*Mandi- Aaron downloaded all my music cd's onto   my phone and surprised me with it.
*Aaron- Cold hard cash. He has been saving for      a new gun. He was beyond happy.

Then we were off to mom and dad's for the traditional Christmas breakfast that dad makes every year. Yummy ham, and cheese eggs, homemade biscuits, pancakes oh it it delicious.

Then it was gift time and the kids were so ready. They walked in to piles of gifts all from mam-Maw and Papa.  They are some lucky little ones they have the BEST Mam-Maw and Papa ever.

The Best gift of the day Papa and Mam-Maw got Harris a little drum set and he loved it.

Then we were of to Nana and Grumps house. This time Harris and Abi both knew exactly what to do and as soon as Nana said open the presents they got busy. My favorite moment was when Harris saw his Choo-Choo train. I really looked at him and thought to myself " my little baby is a boy- a little boy" Oh it was sad and so exciting to think of all the fun things I will get to do with him.

Then I saw this sweet little moment when I turned around. Abi and Nana was teaching Abi how to play "old Maid" It was adorable. She was listening to every word.
Then we came home and took some naps and then played until the street lights came on. It was so fun! I love being a mommy!

I walked in  Harris' room later that night to see Harris with a smile bigger than you can imagine, cuddled up with Aaron watching his Choo-Choo train go around the tracks. Then I went into Abi's room and she had all of her pretty pretty princess game and was just waiting for me to play. Once again my heart melted.

Christmas Eve!

Like most families our little family has a tradition of making my Great Grandmas P-nut butter fudge. However since I have 2 siblings that all have families of there own and made it.  We changed it up a little and made some yummy and super easy chocolate and mint cookies. OH, they were yummy and my helper was adorable!

Then we were off to Papa and Mam-Maws house for some yummy food. While we were there we enjoyed our cousins and my brilliant husband thought to wrack up some leaves into a huge pile and we had entertainment for hours.

All the cousins but Harris of course was running around like a wild man!
Then we off to go home where we made our Reindeer food and made sure to throw it all around the yard. Harris was helping by tasting it to make sure they would like it.
Daddy told the story of Christs birth. It was cute to watch Abi listen with excitement. Then to watch Aaron my sexy and sweet hubby tell the story with such love. I am pretty sure my heart melted.
Then Santa was busy putting together all kinds of toys. It was a really great Christmas eve. I am Thankful I have so much!

Lisa and Clay Gardners wedding!!!!!

The day before Lisa's wedding was WILD!!! Lisa's sister had welcomed and brand new baby into their family so understandably Mom, Dad, and Myself took over and they enjoyed their new little one. I put dad & mom to work right away. Mom painted frames as a decoration for the walls and dad helped me wrap all the ribbon and twine around the Mason jars. The best part is that including food and everything  for the reception I think we did it for all under $500. Which I am sooo proud of the outcome.

Then we were off later that day from a town called Mona up to Salt lake city for the rehearsal dinner that Clays family so kindly invited us to. They looked adorable!

Then that night  we were back down to Manti to the hotel in a snow storm which was CRAZY! Then all the girls and the bride stayed up chatting about all the things she has to look forward to on the wedding night! It was so much fun!
Then the following morning we woke up and got ready. Lisa looked amazing! We were looking for a place for Clay and Lisa to see one another before the temple sealing and I just happened to spot this old barn outside of the hotel we were staying at. It was so funny to see her all gorgeous with snow boots and so sweet when clay saw her.

The sealing was really sweet. The temple was amazing and I could not be reminded of how blessed I am for all the sacrifices that those pioneers made. I could not even imagine the amount of love they must have had for one another and the gospel.
Then we raced back to the ward building where we were greeted with a Funereal. Which was a surprise since it was supposed to over and gone. Instead  we shared the building and all the kitchen space which was in no other worlds a huge test of patience. We had one little counter and the stove. In the end sister Wheeler the cook stepped in and the food was loved and wonderful. The center pieces had a wood plaque and a mason jar with some flowers from Costco and a picture of the 2 of them. I loved them!
Behind the head table where Lisa and Clay sat was little flags held up with clothes pins and on the top one it said " Love is kind of a big deal" One of the brides favorite sayings and underneath was pictures of the 2 of them during the courtship. It was really cute.
 The food table
 The cake
The flowers for the head table
 The first dance
My good bye with Lisa! I was so thankful to be able to be there and thanks to her parents and my talents. I was able to be there. I meant the world to me. I was also sooooo thankful for my mom and dad I really could not have done it with out them. I am so happy fir the 2 of them and the future the are ready to enjoy together.
