girls camp 2012

A couple days before girls camp my  friend called and asked if I could come for 2 nights and teach some classes, and also if I could make Thank You gifts for the leaders. I was thrilled! I came up with painting canvases with chalkboard paint added a cute ribbon and button and Ta-DA Thank You gifts! Not to brag but I thought it was super cute!
 My Bed
On Wednesday I was asked to help decorate the 4th year gilrs table but 3rd yr was going to do the work. It turned out super cute.  Plus most of the girls in our ward were 3rd level so it was fun to be with them.
Sister Roberts was the 3rd level camp crafter and it was a blast having her as a room mate.
My mom was there since she is now in Young Women she was happy to be there and be with her gang in the Kitchen.

They found the best spot to be at camp was the fridge.
We had a blast staying up late, laughing, crying, doing make-up and hair. I am  positive that we had more fun than the girls. I also got a hold of  my buddy Katheryn and showed her the joys of a hair straightener.  She is so dang cute!

Thursday night we did a skit as the leaders.  Sister Roberts is teaching me the dance moves which are from the Micheal Jackson Song Thriller. It was pretty fun!

Here is skit night those cute cooks made up a dance and did it all by them selves.
Brother Rudd came up with a rap to the music from fresh prince of Bellair about his life. It was perfect!  We laughed and smiled at his cuteness
Then we were up. We had to dress like the 80's and be a zombie. It was F-U-N!

Our Girls! It was so much fun to be with the girls. I am normally in Primary and miss all the amazing girls. I was so thankful I got asked to go. Watching the simple things they would do for one another was a huge reminder of all I should be doing. They are all wonderful!
When we were done Sister Roberts did some  foot rubs and then the girls came in and we
got some  Oreo delight the girls.

I was happy to get home but I am so thankful I got to go. I loved every second of it. The best part was watching all these wonderful young women and knowing how nice it is to know we have them. It was fun I laughed more in those days than I had  all year probably. I loved it!

Almost there....

Most of you know but about a year ago my mom and dad came to Aaron and I and Asked if we would be interested in buying there house. Of course I was thrilled. It is my home the house I grew up in. Does it get any better to raise my own children in the same perfect house I grew up in? The catch was that mom and dad wanted to build a apartment on the back of the property and live there. Me still loving the plan..... Aaron on the other hand is super private and took a bit of sweet talking on my part but  now is thrilled with the plan. We got started on the apartment and we plan to be done and in by October. I can not wait! My colors and plans for the house has become a obsession.  My mom and dad are so happy and thrilled to be able to have Aaron take over the yard and have more time for themselves. They are ready to be able to just  go visit Jen and go on a mission when ever they want. I am thrilled to have my FOREVER HOME for my family! YEAH!

DATE NIGHT!!!!!

This is the double rainbow we saw as we were heading to St. Augustine. Isn't pretty?

Last Friday we did the funniest thing. We made a scavenger hunt in St. Augustine. In the car everyone named things we thought of when we went to st. Augustine.
1. Statue
2.Street performer
3. Someone dressed in historic clothing
4. Newly weds
5. Join a tour
6. Sail boat
7. A tourist with a man purse
8. a trolley
9. Bed and Breakfast
10. A street sign with the letter Z
11. A grave with one of our  names on it
12. A Mitt Romney sign or sticker
13. A fountain
14. A bell
15. A cannon
Some of them we could not find for the life of us. Apparently St. Augustine is super liberal because a Mitt Romney sign was no where to be found. What we did find was so fun. Laurel kissing  Yoda, Chris finding a man purse, Jen running to catch the trolley, Me hopping in with a street performer. It was a blast. I am glad the Shaws joined us. We loved them being with us.  To all of you I invited and did not come you missed some major fun. Next we do it  we hope you can all make. After we finished we of course picked up some yummy fudge and headed out to eat at Chili's. That was yummy as well.  I love date nights! Holding hands with your man and great conversation is the best!

July 4th

July 4th we had a fun day! Aaron had off work and Jen and her family were visiting. We went to mom and dad's for some fun in the sun. Dad made some yummy hamburgers, we swam until we were to tired to move, and we enjoyed the whole day. We even made sure our cute little boys (puppies) Darth and Vader joined the party. Abi  has  become a excellent swimmer and  every race we had the little fish won. My favorite part in order to get into the pool you had to do a cannon ball and  everyone did it. We are thankful for the freedom we have to be together, have the faith we cherish, and a reason to celebrate!

April 2012

In April we had a blast the school year was almost over and Harris and I were ready to have Abi all to ourselves. Before that Aaron had to go to a conference in Orlando for work. The spouses got to join along and it was great. The hotel was super fancy so I laid out by the pool, read books, and slept in while Aaron was off at work. Then at night we got dressed up and went out. It was perfect! The last day Aaron got out early and Aaron got the play a round of golf while I watched with my feet up on the golf cart.

The next day I was back in the swing of  mommy and Abi had her Easter egg hunt and party for school. We ended up switching Abigail's school after Christmas. Tynes elementary and Mrs. Stedman were perfect and Abi loved every day of school from then on. Everyday as I picked her up she would hug her teacher goodbye and hop in the car with a smile on her face.

One Sunday we woke up from naps and Aaron said pack up the kids were gonna go on a drive and fish. It was a gorgeous day! We caught 1 fish....  well Aaron caught one fish.

Abi loved posing on the dock more than the fishing. She is my girl for sure.

Harris was in full Daddy's boy mode and did not understand why he could not be with him every second. I love this pic of him watching Aaron mow the grass.

We enjoyed the amazing Florida weather and went to Washington oak gardens. I went there with Aaron all the time while we dated and it is one of my favorite places. We were there and Abigail and I realized that there was a wedding so we were waiting for the bride to walk down the isle.  Abi, Aaron and myself got into a big chat about the difference when Aaron and I were married vs. what was happening with the wedding we were watching. We start to hear Harris laugh, Aaron takes off running and I turn to see Harris peeing right smack in the garden. It was one of those moments  as a parent, when you decide do you laugh or cry that your son just did that. We Laughed.

Off course the Easter bunny visited and we enjoyed a day of family time. It was fun and the kids were happy because they got to have another egg hunt. Harris was the big winner.

At the end of the month our sweet Lola learned how to jump the fence from our backyard and sadly we never saw her again. Abi was totally bummed so we did what we thought best and got not 1 but 2 beagle puppies Darth and Vader. I am totally in love and they fit right into our family perfectly.

 April was a Blast!
