Best birthday ever!

Today is my birthday. I am now 27. Wow time flies! I just want to share how thankful I am. I started this blog to enjoy keeping a record of my family. So I just want to share with everyone what the Jammes family has to be thankful for. The other day I took Harris to the doctor for his normal healthy baby stuff and the doctor told me the he had a " loud and significant" heart murmur. We were referred over to the University of Florida Pediatric Cardiologist. Today was his a appointment. I truly felt like everything was fine. We prayed and gave him a blessing. My real concern was that they were going to have to do these test that would hurt him or scare him. In the past week I thought a lot about how lucky and blessed I am. Then today on my birthday we went to his appointment and everything is perfect. He has what is considered a functional heart murmur.Which is fantastic! I was so relieved I did a little crying in the office. Then on the car ride home I said a little prayer to my Heavenly Father. I am so thankful for my life. I am so thankful that my children are happy and healthy. I totally underestimated what my own mom went threw during my whole childhood. I was also speechless at the love my heavenly father has for me. I lived for one week thinking of the hard times and trails my son word have to suffer threw if he did indeed have a heart problem. I can not imagine what my heavenly father most have felt knowing the hurt and the pain his son would suffer threw on behalf of me and my family and everyone I know and love. In one word I am so thankful for the reminder to love every moment in life good or bad. Words can never express the blessing my family and I have been given. Hard times or good times we have one another and a love that will last for all eternity. Today was a great day. Happy birthday to me and a high five to my Hare Bear who is a healthy little man.

Train Conductor!

Since I have known my husband which is almost my whole life he has loved trains. Grandpa Jammes who Aaron was very close with worked for the railroad and it was his dream to work for the railroad and drive a train. The beginning of our marriage Aaron worked at FedEx Kinko's. Then he got a Job at a company called Southwest Signal Engineering where he eventually did C.A.D work and he was able to draw up blueprints for railroad crossings. Then we were blessed to get a dream job a CSX. Where he called crews to work on trains. Not long after we hit a bump in the road and got the blow that he would be losing his job. Thankfully we were blessed with the fact that Aaron was born in January which allowed him to bump someone for a job in the downtown office. Then we heard of a job in the printing department which is where he is now. We are thankful that he has a job and even better has a job he loves. I tell you that because it has been a crazy year and I figured I should document it so that I will always remember how blessed we have been. Working where Aaron works now he has met the owner of the company, made some friends, and hears about perks and fun stuff. Which brings me to my point. CSX donated the train at the Jacksonville Zoo and last Saturday they had a Volunteer day and workers of the company were able to drive the train for a hour threw out the day. It was fun! His mom and sister Aubrey joined in because everyone knows how exciting this was to him. He did great! We had a great day and enjoyed our family. It is funny how something so simple can remind you of how thankful I need to be for all the little moments in life. I was unbelievably proud watching as he accomplished a part of a dream he has had since he was a child. I love my family and how hard Aaron works for us. I am glad we got to have a day to celebrate and have fun with him. I love you, Jammes! He is a great daddy!

3 generations of Jammes girls!

Here is the train conductor himself. He looks handsome in his conductors hat!

His proud family! We had a great day!

My all time Favorite Harris Moment

Harris is so funny! Everyday he does something that gets us laughing out loud. This is my all time favorite. He discovered cheese balls, stalked Abi until she put hers down and then went in for the steal. Ran back to me and sat in my lap while eating the stolen goods. Soooo Funny!

Happy Birthday Jammes!

Today is Aaron's birthday! I am very excited! He is 27 years old today. I just wanted to take a moment and tell him how much I love him. I have known Aaron my whole life- almost and the day that he held my hand, or kiss me for the first time I would have never thought it would be life changing. I am blessed and he is the blessing that I am most thankful for because with out him I would not have my babies or my eternal marriage. He is strong, supportive, sexy, sweet, a amazing father, a great hubby, a provider, a friend, a quiet thinker, a talented drummer, the funniest person I know and most of all a man with a deep faith that guides his family in every decision that needs to be made. I love you! I hope this year is better than last and I hope you have the best Birthday ever! Happy birthday Jammes!

My BLACK and BLUE Boo

Does anyone want a dog?
What does that have to do with Abigail's black eye you ask? Our dog Coheed caused it! I am not a spanker or a hitter. Growing up I was never spanked and I am blessed with the wonderful blessing of having a daughter who thinks going to 'time out' is the worst punishment ever. What does that have to do with the dog and the black eye? Well let me tell you the story. Our dog Coheed I love but drives me INSANE! From the day we brought him home we have had a love hate relationship. When Aaron was home he would be perfect. When I was with him he learned how to jump a 6 ft. privacy fence and run away for hours, potty where ever possible, and ate anything and everything (pain medicine after a surgery, my parents couch, toys, shoes, batteries) you name it and he ate it. The other day he was running around and knocked Harris over I was annoyed but Harris was fine. I was holding Harris calming him down when it happened. He ran up behind Abigail and hit her, she lost her balance and fell right smack into the corner of the coffee table. Her eye was black and blue within minutes. Abigail was fine after a long completely understandable spell of crying. She calmed down and decided that her next plan of action would be to call Nana and Mam-Maw and tell them what happened. Then daddy was the next call and this is what she said "daddy Coheed hurt me...... I have a black eye..... mommy beat him .......don't worry he will be OK." I thought it was sweet. Her concern was with our crazy dog who had gotten a spanking rather than her own sad state. I love how even after hurting her she was full of love and compassion for the dog. I am glad Abigail is OK and happy. Even black and blue she is the best. I also have to admit that spanking the dog in that moment... Not so hard!

Harris = F-U-N

On Saturday the kids were playing and Aaron and I took the opportunity to snuggle on the couch for a second then we hear something dragging on the floor. We look up to see Harris coming from our bedroom pulling our wicker laundry basket. Once he got it to us he, dumped it over, rocked it until he got the basket standing up and then played Peek -A- Boo for the next little bit. He is such a boy always bringing the fun! Where's Harrris?

Here he is.....
Obviously in a laundry basket!

11months old

Where does time go? I know I just posted about Abigail being a big girl in primary but on top of that my BABY is nearly a year old. It is crazy! Some big things that change this last month:
- He went from a full time Mommas boy to a full time daddy's little man.
-He went from a crawler to a walker
-He laughs even more
-He claps on his own when he knows he has done something impressive.
-His mischief and meddling has increased 100%
- ........ what for it , He high fives! One of Aaron's favorite new
tricks.
-He rocks! Put on some of daddy's music and there will be head bobbing and
shaking to music for the length of the whole song.
I have had a great 11 months and enjoyed every minuet of it. Having a boy is fun. It is different and funny. It is amazing to watch as he figures something out or he learns something new. He is the cutest and biggest blessing our family was given in 2009. Thanks Hare Bear for making it a year of fun and memories. You and your sister are amazing!

Jesus want Abigail for a.....

SUNBEAM. I am a little late but better late than never. Last Sunday Abigail started Sunbeams at church. AMAZING! I can not believe that my baby is in SUNBEAMS. Boo was the oldest kid in nursery (she missed the mark last year by less than 3 months) so needless to say she was ready. Our home has been filled with excitement and lots of talk on her new roll in church and primary. On Sunday Aaron had a horrible migraine and had been up all night. When I told Abigail Daddy was not going she broke out in tears that daddy was not going to be their for her grand entry into primary. I meant to take another picture when I returned home but forgot. Nonetheless Abigail had a great day. Our Primary president and friend asked the new little sunbeams to stand up and the other children sang the welcome song to them and right as the song started my dad snuck in and we both gave each other a tearful embrace at how proud and amazed that our little girl is a sunbeam. Thanks dad! The only thing that could have made the day better was Aaron being there to celebrate. I love you Abigail and in the future do not grow up so fast mommy needs you little for a little longer. Thanks for giving us years of hilarity, smiles, love, fashion tips, and a magic. I love you Boo and so does daddy!

We Lived.......

...and we learned. Saturday Harris our new ADORABLE FULL TIME WALKER fell and had a nasty bump on his lip. He was fine and tough as always until Sunday when we were watching and playing with Abigail and Harris. Abigail loves to push her brother around in her baby stroller. HE LOVES IT! He giggles and smiles and enjoys being the center of attention. We love aitting back and watching them play together. Then it happened he got so exciting clapping and cheering he flew right out of the stroller and landed right on his lip... again. Thankfully no one was badly hurt in the stunt. His little lip was a bit swollen and suffered a blow but yet again he is a champ and was off to play something else with his sister.

The something else ended up being karate chop. A game we in the Jammes house plays because in case you do not know I AM A LETHAL WEAPON! That's right I am. When I was younger before my crazy legs I along with all my family, my mom and dad included all took classes together. It was great fun. Now days we run around our house pretending to karate chop one another and it is lots of fun. We all at one point never cease to end up in a big pile giggling and laughing together on the floor. As you can see Harris is a HUGE fan! Look at the grin on his face... CUTE! Do not let Abigail's girly way fool you that girl can hold her own. Just another fun yet accident prone day at the Jammes home!

Happy 2010!!!!!

I hope that you all had a great happy New Years..Aaron and I certainly did. My mom in law always watches our babies which = DATE! Normally Aaron and go to the dance but this year everyone we knew did not go. Which worked out great because a even better offer came our way to go to our friends Cassie and Jason's home and celebrate with our other close buddies Casey and Mark. Aaron got a new poker set from my mom and dad for Christmas and it was on.
Mark was not so excited about poker in the beginning, but quickly fell in love and was winning left and right in no time.

Casey on the other hand not so much! She gets a A+ for effort though.

The big winner ( of nothing but the title of WINNER) was Jason. Cassie really wanted his big winnings and tried her best to steal them. We had a great time and enjoyed our alone time! We love you guys thanks for the invite.
My GOALS next year:
-Have a cleaner home
-Enjoy the little things in life
-Double our food storage
- Be a more patient wife and mother
I hope you all have a great and happy New Years! The Jammes family loves you all and are thankful for all the memories you helped us make in 2009!

New photos!!!!

Thursday we went and had some new photos taken. My in laws gave me a $100.00 gift certificate to JC Penney's for Christmas to get them done. Thanks! I think we got some cute pictures. Overall though I was a little disappointed. We always get photos done there that are great. Lots of poses, props, and fun backgrounds to choose from. This time we got nothing. Either way though we had fun and my cuties are pretty darn cute!
