Helping.....?

These days Abigail has taken being the " BIG sister" to heart. She picks him up and carries him when mommy is not looking, she makes bottles with her own special formula, and when Harris makes a noise anywhere really but especially if he is in the high chair she gets him food. Which brings me to my point, today I washing dishes and I heard Abigail dumping something on Harris' high chair I turned around to see a whole huge container of animal crackers covering his tray. He was in heaven, shoving as many as he possibly could into his mouth before I put a stop to it. Then the cutest thing happened Abigail looked at me and said.." Mommy I am a such a good helper" I had to agree she had the best intentions and I am sure if Harris could talk he would agree!

I had to do it.....

So every single Sunday since Aaron and I have been married we spend over at Nana and grumps house. Nana works and so she loves to get some time in with her little cuties whenever possible. Which I love! Last Sunday we went over to their house and Harris had something that his little tummy did not like so he spit up everywhere. I normally have a back up outfit in the car but of course I did not Sunday. So Vickie went threw her clothes and all she could find was a little baby blue PJ set with flowers and butterflies I put it on and Vickie and I giggled it was so cute ... Then Grumps and daddy walked in a did not find it nearly as amusing. In the end we all agreed it was so funny because he is such a boy!!! It was a good day like always with Nana and Grumps and as soon as we got home Aaron had him changed into PJ's with a drum set on them. Either way I think he is a handsome little man!! Love you Hare bear!!

He is ALL boy!!

Today I was doing dishes and I turned around because my little Hare Bear was giggling. When I turned around he had some how gotten the broom off of the stick and was laughing at all the things he was hitting with it. It was adorable. It dawned on me when I looked at him dirty and all covered in drool that having a boy is 100% different than Boo. She was in spot free outfits and her hair was done before we ever left the house. They are so different. Harris is easy going and finds his own fun. I love being a mom to a girly girl and a dirty, adorable boy. I have the best of both worlds.

8 months and counting

So, Harris is 8 months now and on the go every moment he has the chance. I can not believe it is 8 months pretty soon my baby will be walking and talking. Which is sooo sad. Having Harris is in my life has been amazing. I love my son and I am so thankful for him.

My top 8 things I love about Harris:

8. No matter how much Abigail treats him like her own little baby doll he just goes with the flow.
7. I love how he follows me when I leave the room.
6. He dances when I have music on. It is the cutest!
5. How much he loves getting in trouble and meddling in any thing he can get his hands on.
4. His laugh! He laughs ALL the time!
3. When ever I go to get him out of the crib he smiles at me.
2. The way he falls asleep in a second and it does not matter where he is.
1. The way when he is sleepy he will cuddle right up to you and go to sleep. He is such a sweet and happy little boy.

The pictures above are him asleep in his bouncer. It happens at least once a week. Every time is happens it melts my heart. I love you son! I can not wait to see what you do next!

My kids are lucky!!!

Growing up I had tons of family my dad is 1 of 16 children in his family. I knew ,I had a lot of family, aunts ,and uncles but for one reason or another I never really spent much time with a majority of them. My moms family was always a part of my life but they live in Virginia so when I was able to see them I made memories that I will always cherish. I had my Aunt Debbie and uncle Joe who to be honest were such a part of my life they are like a second pair of parents. With out a doubt they had a part in the Mandi that you all know. I also had my uncle Kenny who is my dads brother. Most of the time he worked or was single but growing up I always loved him. I can not really explain why. I would see him at family functions and Iknew that he loved me and my family. He loved and respected my dad and was always kind. In the last couple of years ( almost 4) My family has changes in a huge way. My parents now have 6 grand kids. Jen is married. Uncle Kenny is married to my Aunt Suzi who is great. I always try to be thankful for the wonderful life I have.
Yesterday I was cleaning up the house and I noticed Abigail was looking at the fridge where I have a lot of family photos. Abigail looks at me and says " Momma I have so many people that love me" I was so taken back my the comment. I grew up will great people that loved me. But she said " so many"Then I thought about it and realized how many people really do love my children and I got a little teary eyed in my kitchen. Because my kids and my nieces and nephews have more people than they could possibly name right here for them to build undeniable bonds and memories with. Isn't is funny that a 3 1/2 year little girl can give you so much to think about. I just wanted to say thank you to my family. You will never know who much I love and adore all of you. My kids are so blessed to have their dad's family Nanna and Grumps, Auntie "A", Auntie Rae, GG, and so many more. Then one my side they have Mam-Maw, Papa, Auntie Jen Jen, Uncle Shawn, Uncle Robbie, Nikki, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Joe, Aunt Suzi and Uncle Kenny, Aunt Karen and Uncle Eddie, Aunt Kathy, and Aunt Ginnie. I could not love you any more than I do. Thank you for loving my children!!!!

Here are some pics the family gathering we had last Saturday. Shawn really liked the chicken wings.

This the fish I caught Papa did all the dirty work. For the record Jen won the fish off but I think her and shawn had some kinda magic bait! =)

This is the Huge catfish that Shawn caught with his *Magic Bait*

Here is Lauren all girly and fishing!!

Looks like trouble ahead

The other day Jen and Kynleigh came over. The kids played while we did some scrapbooking. They play great together and live to see each other. Jen and I got busy and looked down to see what they were up to and saw Kynleigh and Harris going to town meddling in Jens diaper bag. When we caught them they both gave us these little smiles that to me clearly meant " We are not even getting started" I had a moment where I saw the future mischief these 2 are going to get into together and I was really happy and a little sacred at what they are possibly going to do in the future. Either way we love our Kynleigh and love that they will always have each other. I know I have said it before but cousins are great!

Aren't TV's nice?

On days when you have loads of stuff to do around the house and a adorable but cranky 8 month old, and rain filled back yard TVs really are so nice. I love the PBS channel I can put it on for Abigail get what I need to done and then enjoy the rest of the day with my cuties. I know in a perfect world parking Abigail in front of a TV is not my first game plan but sometimes it happens and it is kinda nice. Besides 'Sesame St" is a great show great right?
